Tomi: The Champion of the World
This project focused on documentary animation and motion graphics for Tomi: The Champion of the World, creating animated sequences that enhanced storytelling, visualised unseen moments, and supported narrative flow. I developed a distinctive collage-inspired animation style, combining character animation, cut-out textures, and expressive movement to capture the energy and spirit of Tomi’s journey to the Irish Dancing World Championships. The animations were used for narrative reconstruction, hero shots, section breaks, and explainer sequences, and were supported by promotional motion and social graphics for digital platforms. The result was a cohesive animated language that bridged live-action footage and illustration, adding clarity, humour, and emotional impact to the documentary.
